I am a mixed media artist living in Colorado with my two horses, two dogs and three cats. I find inspiration in both the natural world and the people around me. What would we do without brilliantly colored sunrises and sunsets or good conversations with friends? I need both. While I should probably say that I am a self-taught artist this doesn’t ring true to me. I have had little formal education in art but I learn so much from others that it seems disingenuous to say I’ve done it all on my own.

As an artist, I love to learn and I love to teach but most of all I love to create. Telling a story through an assemblage piece, a collage of painted paper on a watercolor background or with stitching and beads becomes a shared experience. The story I tell may not be the story you see which makes the piece richer and the process of making and sharing it even more satisfying.

One of my most firmly held beliefs is that we are all makers of one sort or another. Creativity is a part of being human and how we express this part of us is as unique as each individual is. In a sense, our creativity is like our fingerprint and one of the ways we leave our own distinctive mark on the world. For me, the art I make is fundamentally a celebration of the world I live in.

Welcome. I am so happy you are here.
